below shows how I am marking the work through ICT systems and this also shows the portal which students submit to, which promotes minimum core ICT.

04.9.13
Throughout induction of the PCET course, we were required to set up passwords and log ins for accounts to access work. As part of this we were required to set up a Blog page using Word Press, this is a new thing to me and I found it very self explanatory to use. Blogs will be an important part of the course as assesments will happen via blogs therfore regular updates will need to be posted.
6.9.13
Started to research for my assignment, completing blog to keep up to date with activities and keep evidence of minimum core.

Minimum Core ICT within Teaching
Within teaching ICT is constantly embedded, this is mainly used through PowerPoint presentation which are used within every teaching lesson or at least every theory based lesson where facilities allow. I tend to use PowerPoint a lot as I find this is an effective way to get information across and enables visual aids to help learners understand, this could be through text, pictures or videos.
Without the lessons the learners are encouraged to use technology especially within the lessons which I teach. I encourage learners to research using there smart phones whilst in the lesson. But I also encourage learners to send me emails regarding any questions which they may have, furthermore, learners are required to access SkyDrive for their documents and upload their assignments onto ecordia (a ICT based system) they also access there feedback online.
Another aspect of ICT used within sport is video analysis, this is a big hit with the learners as they appreciate been given the opportunity to use this type of ICT and they can see what they are aiming to achieve. This techniques seemed to be very popular and I think this is because it gives the learners a break from teacher lead sessions and they gain the chance to be responsible and play with the software. By allowing this to happen the learners are gaining key transferable skills that they will need throughout their lives. ICT is so important and is used every day therefore it becomes pretty simple to embed ICT into all lessons.
Personal Minimum Core
I use ICT daily, whether this is to check Facebook, read my email or just search on google. But who doesn’t. Within teaching I use ICT most days. I create PowerPoint presentations, I create resources such as information sheets and diagrams. I use the internet several times a day. This is just to prepare to teach.
I then use ICT when completing my assignments or getting in touch with my tutor or mentor via email. Sometimes I even use ICT without realising it, for instance using the sky box or Tivo Box, this is all ICT.
ICT is such a big part of the world today that it is vital that learners and teacher embrace the technology and use it to their advantage.
